Does my business have to change local or toll free telephone numbers if we convert over to Call America?
Answer: No, you will continue to use the same telephone numbers with Call America.

Call America promotes an on-line statement, can my business receive a paper bill through the mail the way we always have?
Answer: Yes. Call America does promote the on-line statement because it is so much more efficient for most businesses. The on-line statement is also easily printed, in whole or in part, from your office computer. There is a nominal fee to cover handling and mailing if customers choose to receive a paper bill through the mail.

Why are there so many taxes and surcharges on my telephone bill?
Answer: State and Federal governments have chosen to raise money for many purposes through taxes and surcharges on telephone bills. The amounts of taxes are the same from every telephone company. Detailed information on California’s taxes and surcharges are available here.

Is Call America a new company?
Answer: Yes. Jeff Buckingham formed Anew Telecommunications Corporation, DBA Call America, in July of 2001. The new company brings together many of the same people and practices as the original Call America and plans to build on the past success.

Does Call America offer Internet service?
Answer: Yes, in cooperation with some of the fine local Internet service providers. The services are billed directly from the individual providers.
